Το Κάτι στο σκοτάδι/ Τhe Something in the Dark
– Μάλλον γεννήθηκα -είπε «Κάτι στο σκοτάδι»- κανείς δεν θα με χειροκροτήσει;

“I think I was born,” said the Something in the Dark. “Won’t anyone applaud me?”
“Well, let me see you first, and then I’ll applaud,” replied the sunbeam, illuminating the darkness.
But there was nothing there.
“Hmm, it’s gone!” the sunbeam exclaimed in surprise and drew back.
“Umm… I’ve been born again!” came the voice from the darkness once more.
“And where were you just a moment ago? I came to applaud you, but there was no one there—not even the darkness itself.”
“That’s right, because I am the SOMETHING IN THE DARK and nothing else… Without the darkness, I do not exist.”
“Only then will I no longer shine in your eyes. I’ll stay on my own side, and we’ll talk,” whispered the sunbeam. “There you go, let me say it: Happy Birthday, Something there in the Dark!”
“Thank you,” replied the Something in the Dark. “You really are a friend!”
